About Me

I am currently a first-year Ph.D. student in the Rice University Electrical and Computer Engineering department. My advisor at Rice is Professor Erzebet Merenyi, and I am co-advised by Dr. Tomasz Stepinski of the Lunar and Planetary Institute and Dr. Kiri Wagstaff of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. My research is funded by the NASA Graduate Student Researchers Program and is focused on "Automatic Labeling of High Dimensional Remotely Sensed Imagery via Semantic Modeling."

I also work as a research programmer at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the Machine Learning and Instrument Autonomy Group.

I received a M.S. from the Purdue University Computer Science department in 2006, a B.S. in Computer Science, and a B.A. in Mathematics from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN in 2003.

My research interests include: machine learning, pattern recognition, remote sensing, scientific visualization and applications in planetary science and physics.
