My research interests

Current Work

The general area for my PhD will be resource allocation in a wide area network. Namely, how can we coordinate PHY and MAC parameters, across nodes and air-interfaces, to optimize throughput in a WAN while limiting power consumption and spectrum use? The solution will involve point-to-point, cooperative, and multi-hop links, requiring distributed and efficient algorithms to configure and maintain network state.

I am currently working under the direction of Professor Behnaam Aazhang.

More generally, my interests lie in the following areas:

Previous Work

The main focus for my MS thesis was quantization. Specifically, how do the effects of an imperfect automatic-gain control impact the performance of a wireless communications link? I cast this problem as a quantization-error minimization.

I completed this thesis under the direction of Professor Behnaam Aazhang and Professor Ashu Sabharwal.
