Since you clicked "bio" on the left, I'll assume you have a marginal interest in my biographical information. I'll keep it short. I grew up mostly in an unpleasant suburban city north of Dallas called Plano, home of the fighting trust funds. I didn't like the city growing up, and I like it less now that they managed to pressure this farmer near my house to give up his land and turn it into a dreary cookie cutter housing area. Well, development's got to happen somewhere, right? The schools are good, although my high school graduating class was a ludicrous 1605 (seriously). We made national news in the mid-80's because of an outbreak of suicides. We were again in the headlines back in the late 90's because of a serious heroin problem. More recently, a steroid-induced depression-induced suicide landed Plano again in the headlines. Well, I'm done trying to sell you on Plano.
I attended UT Austin for undergrad in ECE, where I graduated with high honors. I roomed with some people that graduated instead with "high" honors. Thank you, thank you. I'll be here all week.
Um, anyway, after that I enrolled at Rice University for graduate school, and here I am now. Right now, when not engaging in necessary human actions (eating, breathing, sleeping) I slack off and write lame jokes in my "Bio" page that no one except my girlfriend and random people from India asking me for help to get into graduate school will read. In regards to that second party- no, I don't know if your TOEFL score sucks, and no, I don't know anyone in a position of power to help you get into Rice. Besides, grad school is for l00zers, man.
