ECE Department Facts Ranking Top ten, best overall undergraduate engineering program of private universities, U.S. News & World Report, 2004 Students Current Statistics: • 120 MS/PhD students • 12 MEE • 60 BSEE students Since 2001, the number of Master's degree graduates has risen steadily and Rice continues to be a top producer of computer science and electrical engineering graduate and undergraduate students each year. The number of all Electrical and Computer Engineering graduates has increased by 7% from the 2003 level. In 2003, 108 students received degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In 2004, the number of PhD recipients doubled from the 2003 level.
