The Honor System
All graduate students at Rice are bound by the Rice Honor Code. New students should familiarize themselves with the Honor Code before starting classes. The Honor Code is a unique feature at Rice, and one that is valued highly. Honor Code violations are very serious, and can lead to dismissal from the University.
"On my Honor, I have neither given nor received any unauthorized aid on this [exam/paper/etc.]"
