LANCER - A Unique Nanotechnology Research Collaboration

The Lockheed-Martin Advanced Technology Center for Excellence at Rice University (LANCER) is a unique new collaborative venture between Rice and Lockheed Martin, teaming faculty members with engineers throughout the company to devise solutions to critical problems facing the industry.  Research projects address a varied array of issues, including battery technologies, infrared imaging, and thermal management of electronic components.  This talk will provide an overview of this Center, along with updates of the ongoing LANCER project in the ECE Department involving terahertz sensing.
