The primary focus of this capstone course is for teams of students to
conceive, design and build a working prototype of a bioengineering
device. The students are provided with a general problem or technology
concept that they can use to develop a device. Design projects are
focused on either development of medical devices and tools, development
of tools to be used in research or on development of devices that will
aid in providing effective healthcare in the developing world. The end
result is that all teams have tested prototypes of their design
solutions.
