Disruptive Wireless Technologies: The Rubber Hits the Road | |||
|
In this hour-long session, we will explore the new principles emerging
from our
clean-slate approach to the design of wireless networks. Key
new concepts include cooperative
communication, two-way protocols and adaptive control channels.
A key ingredient of our research methodology is rigorous experimental
evaluation using
Rice's Wireless Open-Access Research Platform (WARP). We will discuss
how it is being developed
to achieve deeper understanding of new paradigms in wireless
communications.
