TOPICS

  1. State of the art in plasmonics, metamaterials, and chemical catalysis.

  2. Areas of chemical catalysis that could benefit from enhanced optical/electromagnetic concepts from seismic to x-ray wavelengths.

  3. Concepts for nanophotonic- and metamaterials- driven catalysis and heat generation.

  4. Surface nanoengineering to merge nanophotonics and catalysis.

  5. Quantum plasmonics.

  6. Hot electrons driving chemistry.

  7. Chemical sensing using nanophotonic and plasmonic concepts.

  8. Nanophotonic characterization of catalytic structures: Where do the reactions happen? And how fast?

We invite you to attend the ARO Workshop on Surface Plasmons, Metamaterials, and Catalysis. The goal of this workshop will be to explore the opportunities for chemical catalysis arising from recent revolutionary advances in the fields of metamaterials and plasmonics. To this end, the workshop will bring together scientists from the disciplines of electrochemistry, catalysis, and plasmonics, which have not traditionally had a common platform.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact the event coordinator Prof. Isabell Thomann
