Burrus_REAaward07Mary Lee and Sidney Burrus's great partnership has enabled them to loyally serve Rice for more than 40 years. As masters of Lovett College, they had a tremendous influence on many students, guiding them through their college experience by setting the tone and serving as role models. They have been ambassadors for the university at many Rice events including hosting groups in their home and accompanying alumni and friends of Rice as part of the Rice Alumni Travel/Study Program. The alumni office employed Mary Lee in the 1990s, taking advantage of her planning skills to coordinate presidential visit to cities across the country.
