Baraniuk receives Brown Teaching Award May 2006

Known as “Rich” around the department, Richard Baraniuk has earned the George R. Brown Award for Superior Teaching. Each year, Rice University alumni recognize six faculty members with this award. Baraniuk is Victor E. Cameron Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering,  and Founder and Director of the Connexions® Project. His research and teaching interests include wavelets, natural image modeling, networks, and time-frequency analysis. Baraniuk previously won the Brown Award for Superior Teaching in 2001 and 2003, and the Charles Duncan Junior Achievement Award for Outstanding Faculty in 2000.
