This group conducts research and development in quantum electronics, in particular laser spectroscopy applied to sensitive, selective and real-time trace gas detection, and laser applications in environmental monitoring, chemical analysis, industrial process control, and medical diagnostics.

January 22^nd-26^th, 2011 - The Rice LSG attends Photonics West 2011 [photos]

October, 2010 - The Rice LSG welcomes post doc Kun Liu.

May 16^th, 2010 - Dr. Frank Tittel was interviewed by the Houston Chronicle on the 50^th anniversary of the laser.
