Chakrapani wins Sigma Xi Best PhD Thesis Award (March 2009)

Lakshmi Chakrapani has been selected as one a winner of the Sigma Xi Best Ph.D. Thesis Awards for his dissertation, Probabilistic Boolean Logic, Arithmetic and Architectures. “I am delighted that Lakshmi has been recognized by a pretty selective dissertation award. About five dissertations from about five hundred from all disciplines are chosen each year,” said his thesis advisor,
Krishna V. Palem, Kenneth and Audrey Kennedy Professor of Computing, Department of Computer Science, Rice University.
During the annual Sigma Xi Awards Banquet, a plaque with a cash reward will be presented to Lakshmi, and a certificate will be presented to his advisor, Professor Krishna Palem.
Lakshmi graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology and is a Postdoctoral Research Associate and External Relations Coordinator of Value of Information-Based and Sustainable Embedded Nanocomputing (VISEN) Center.
