Rice Networks Group Hosts 100x100 Clean Slate Project Collaboration

Professor Ed Knightly and the Rice Networks Group hosted the 100x100 Clean Slate Project, December 12-13, 2005.   The event included participants from Carnegie Mellon University, Stanford University, University of California at Berkely, AT&T Labs-Research, Fraser Research, Internet2, and the Pittsburgh Super Computing Center.

The 100x100 Clean Slate Project, a $7.5M NSF Information Technology Research Grant, is a joint collaboration with Carnegie Mellon, Rice, Stanford, and University of California Berkeley. The project addresses  a clean-slate design of the Internet to achieve pervasive, secure, and economically viable broadband access at 100 Mb/sec to 100 million households.
