AISRP workshop '97 presentation,    E. Merényi, U of Arizona, LPL

Spatial and spectral resolution of planetary/on-orbit imagers has been rapidly improving. AVIRIS (airborne) is included for comparison. One AVIRIS image covering ~ 10 x 12 square km-s is 140 Mbytes.

A list of characteristics of current spectral imagers is at ISPRS WG III/5 web page http://polestar.mps.ohio-state.edu/~csatho/wg35.html under "Hyperspectral Imaging".
