Introduction
Last week we measured the no-load speed of a DC motor as a function
of the applied voltage.
This week we will complete the characterization of the motor
by measuring the developed torque as a function of armature current.
We will also look at another technique for measuring speed
which, like the tachogenerator, gives us a signal which can be
used in a controller circuit, and also gives us an indication
of
phase
in addition to velocity.
