The Kelly Lab

The Kelly Lab is directed by Kevin F. Kelly, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering here at Rice University. Our group performs cutting-edge imaging research that can be broadly divided into two categories: the scanning probe microscopy group and the optical compressed sensing group. We've made some popular news with both the nanocar and the "single-pixel camera." We thus use a little bit of everything - chemistry, physics, materials science, electrical engineering, and even applied mathematics. The students in our lab come from a variety of backgrounds, with roughly half the group in the Applied Physics program and the other in the ECE department.
