Please join us in welcoming Kaiyuan Yang, new Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, effective July 1. Dr. Yang’s research interests are in the area of digital and mixed-signal solid-state circuits, VLSI and integrated system designs, with emphasis on low power and security. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2014 and 2017, respectively.
In 2016, Dr. Yang was honored with a Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS) Predoctoral Achievement Award. He was the recipient of the Distinguished Paper Award at the 2016 IEEE International Symposium on Security and Privacy, and the Best Student Paper Award at the 2015 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, among other honors. He has also held internships with ARM Research in 2015.
Dr. Yang brings a passion for computer engineering and a dedication to high-quality teaching and research that inspires real-world change. We look forward to sharing his accomplishments at Rice!
