I am a graduate student in the ECE Department at Rice University,
being advised by prof. Behnaam Aazhang.
Being a computer engineer at heart, I am interested in proving theoretical wireless communication concepts by running experiments using the WARP platform.
My latest research interest is two-fold. I want to prove that the Compute-and-Forward protocol and interference-aware strategies are practical to be used in real systems. Therefore, I am building a framework using WARPlab to run 2x2 MIMO wireless experiments implementing Integer Forcing linear receivers. Secondly, I want to reduce the complexity of such receivers in practical OFDM systems by taking advantage of the characteristics of the wireless channel.

More about me

I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Rice University with prof. Behnaam Aazhang, I am a Visiting Scholar at Boston University working with prof. Bobak Nazer and I am collaborating with Assistant Prof. Feng Cheng from The University of British Columbia. I received an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University in 2011 and I am a Diploma Engineer (which is a B.Sc. with a thesis) from the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Science at University Politehnica of Bucharest in 2007.
