    - structure discovery in complex, high-dimensional data, visualization
    - segmentation and classification, pattern recognition, parameter inference, variable selection
    - data fusion, “precision” data mining, knowledge discovery
    - knowledge integration (model fusion)
  • Application to information extraction from multi- and hyperspectral data/imagery and multi-variate heterogeneous data, for
    - planetary surface composition research; kinematics and composition of astronomical objects;
    environmental / resource mapping; target detection;
