Quiz 1 will be in-class, closed notes, closed books, electronic devices turned off. It will consist of a minimum of 5 questions (but no more than 10), and will take about 40 minutes. No derivations will be asked, and no formulae will need to be written. However, you may need to recognize basic expressions or major formulae. Questions will be designed to test your understanding of important definitions, facts, theorems, and relationships. The material for Quiz 1 is what we cover by Thu, Sep 6.
