Cleaning Up

The final phase of any experiment is cleaning up. The goal of cleaning up is to leave the lab and the equipment room at least as organized as you found them.

Prior to disassembling your experiment, turn off the power on each instrument. If the apparatus did not work during the experiment, find an equipment repair label and attach it to the malfunctioning instrument. Return all patch cords, clip leads, and special parts to their proper locations on the cart or in the equipment room. Your DMM, breadboard, and tools may be taken home or left in your locker in the equipment room. You are responsible for the safe return of your DMM and breadboard at the end of the semester, so be sure that your locker is kept locked.
