ELEC 243 Lab
Get your Tools
An important part of your ELEC 243 lab experience will
be to learn the use of the tools and equipment found
in a typical electronics laboratory.
Some of these tools are large and expensive
(e.g. the oscilloscope and power supply)
and so are a permanent part of the lab
and are shared by multiple lab groups.
Others
(e.g. the DMM and basic hand tools)
are small and inexpensive enough for each team to have a set.
Since many of the lab experiments involve the building of
electronic circuits, you will also need a kit of components
and a breadboard.
All of these items (and a place to store them, i.e. a locker)
may be checked out from Mr. Fly, the ECE department technician.
Once you have chosen your lab partner, stop by his office
(AL A146) between 9 AM
and 5 PM to collect your tools.
You will also need a lab notebook.
This will not be one of the items you will get from Mr. Fly,
so you're on your own for this one.
For more details, see the
Lab Notebook
section of the Lab Manual.
