Like the 342 Lab, the 332 Lab has a selection of stock components to use in your lab exercises and project. The 342 lab assignments were sufficiently structured that you could find all of the parts you needed in the cabinets. The greater flexibility in 332 designs means that it is unlikely that you will find all of the parts you will need already at hand.

So 332 has a two tier parts structure:

• We maintain a stock selection of the parts you are most likely to need.
• We have a procedure for ordering required parts that are not in stock.

Most of the components in the 332 lab stock are surface mount devices (SMDs). If your circuit requires leaded components, you can get those from the 342 lab.

Our surface mount components are located on top of the filing cabinets in the southeast corner of the lab.

• Parts which were purchased in bulk are stored in the plastic small-drawer cabinets.
• Prepackaged assortments and kits which come in boxes or book style cases are stored next to the parts cabinets.

Resistors

We have several kits of surface mount resistors:

• 1206 size, all standard 10% values
• 0805 size, all standard 5% values

Each kit contains 50 of each value.

Capacitors

Ceramic

Two kits:

• 0805 size, most standard values from 0.5 pF to 1000 pF (50 V)
• 0805 size, most standard values from 1000 pF to 0.47 µF (50, 25, and 16 V)

Each kit contains 10 pieces of each value.

In addition, we have bulk quantities of the following values in size 0805:
         50 V: 1.0pF, 10pF, 100pF, 1nF, 10nF
         25 V: 100nF
         16 V: 1.0µF

Electrolytic

One kit of radial lead aluminum electrolytics with the following values
         6.3V: 100µF
        16V: 33uF, 47uF
        25V: 6.8uF, 10uF, 22uF,
        35V: 10uF, 22uF,
        50V: 0.1uF, 0.22uF, 0.33uF, 0.47uF, 1.0uF, 2.2uF, 3.3uF, 4.7uF, 10uF

Tantalum

Surface mount Tantalum capacitors in the following values:
        16 V: 4.7µF, 22µF
        25 V: 4.7µF

Inductors

One kit of size 1008 surface mount inductors with all standard 10% values from 1.8 nH to 47 µH.

Material for winding coils

Amidon toriodal cores in the following sizes and mixes:
         T25-0, T25-12, T37-2, T50-2, T50-6

Enameled magnet wire in the following gages:
         24ga, 32ga
