Base Station Antenna for MAV Camera

Because of size and weight constraints, the MAV Camera project will have limited transmitter power available. To achieve the required range, a high-gain, directional antenna will likely be required for the receiver. This antenna will have to be continuously steerable, since the MAV is a mobile platform. Although a conventional Yagi antenna on a mechanical rotator could be used, a smart antenna (which could combine interference rejection with tracking) is clearly a more elegant solution.
