ELEC 432

Goals

From previous lab exercises we have the basic components we need to build a digital receiver. This week we're going to build a transmitter. Since we don't have a nearly complete analog transmitter to start with, we will need to provide our own circuitry. To keep this circuitry as simple as possible, and to illustrate the complex signal processing concepts we discussed in class, we will use a quadrature mixer to upconvert the transmitter IF to the carrier frequency.

As an added bonus, the new Digital Radio Breadboard modules we will utilize this week will illustrate some of the prototyping techniques we might want to use in the future to fabricate hardware components.
