What to Turn in
There's not a lot of table and graph style lab stuff this week.
Instead, our goal is to understand I/Q (complex) signal processing
and how we might utilize it in building more sophisticated transmitters and
receivers.
Based on your experience with this week's lab exercise:
-
Do a thorough analysis of the transmitter signal processing chain, from
signal input to antenna.
Include a detailed diagram
showing the spectra and frequencies at the various stages of the modulation process.
-
Consider alternative transmitter architectures.
Evaluate each realtive to our modified Weaver architecture, for various types of
modulation.
-
Suggest additional functionality that should be added,
or existing functionality that should be removed,
to make a more useful transmitter.
