What to Turn in

This exercise covers a fairly wide range of material. To put some structure into your writeup, you should divide it into the following sections:

  1. Analysis. Summarize your measurements and the resulting design requirements. Describe the measurement techniques that you used.
  2. Initial Design. Describe your initial design and the reasoning behind the design choices you made.
  3. Prototyping and Revision. Describe the order in which you assembled your prototype. Discuss what went right, what went wrong, and how the wrong things were put right.
  4. Testing and characterization results. Describe how you performed the various tests. Summarize your results in an appropriate form (e.g. graphical, tabular, etc.).
  5. Final Design. Describe the final design, the changes that were made, and the reasons for the changes. Include complete documentation of your final product: schematics, bill of materials, cost, vendors, etc. If you had a PC board made, include the board layout. If not, include a photograph of your system.
