Unless otherwise stated in the description of a particular project, the following guidelines apply to work done for this course:

1. All problems are open book, but you should cite material that you reference.
2. You may utilize the course notes and your personal notes without attribution.
3. You may discuss the homework problems with other students and work together in formulating a solution, but you must prepare the work you hand in on your own.
4. Unless otherwise stated, all quiz problems should be individual efforts, and should not be discussed with anyone other than the instructor.
5. Policies on discussion and collaboration for the projects vary from project to project. When they are more restrictive than the homework policy, this will be noted in the description of the particular project.
6. Consultation of previous years' homework, exams, solutions, or projects is not permitted.
7. In the case of group projects, the terms "you" and "your own work" should be understood to mean "your group" and "your group's work," respectively.
