Membership in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Corporate Affiliates Program is offered to companies by invitation from the Department Chair and the Dean of the George R. Brown School of Engineering. The membership fee is assessed on an annual basis. We have implemented a new structure for the Affiliates Program as follows:
Founding Member
Recognizing our original Affiliates
Honorary Member
Those supporting significant research or educational efforts within the ECE Dept.
Corporate Member
Large corporations (over 100 employees)
Division Member
Rate for corporations where there is significant interest in a particular division within the corporation
Small Business Member
Small corporations of less than about 100 employees are charged a reduced rate
Alumni Member
Individual alumni interested in supporting departmental activities (limited benefits)
Membership companies that wish to form affiliations with other departments within the George R. Brown School of Engineering are assessed a reduced fee.
Affiliates are strongly encouraged to regard membership as a long term commitment, since the benefits of the program can be fully realized only through a relationship developed over time. The membership contribution represents an investment in the future of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rice, and we hope that affiliates will stay with the program to observe the growth that their contributions have helped make possible.
