Do you require a statement of purpose?

While a statement of purpose is not required, all of the information you provide to the admissions committee benefits your application as it allows the team to develop a more complete picture of your skills, abilities, and future goals. You may upload this as a supporting document.

The Statement of Purpose should be used to share information about you that has not already been requested. It is related to your future goals – how do you plan to apply what you learn? However, there are no specific requirements. Please refer to the online application to verify any word limits in place.

Do I need to take the GRE and can I take it more than once?

If your TOEFL score is below 90 you are able to still apply but the competitive nature of the program requires a waiver.

How can I verify that my recommendations have been received?

You may login to your application via Gradapps to monitor your application status, as well as the status of your recommendations.

What if my TOEFL score is not available, or my recommenders can’t get documents submitted, by the deadline?

We will accept recommendations and scores beyond the application due date. Candidates whose application is not complete place themselves in a less competitive position. Please prepare accordingly to have all documents in by the deadline.

All applications will be reviewed after the application deadline. All admissions decisions are provided by e-mail to the address listed on your application. Contacting the department about decisions only delays the process.
