Give Now

Every gift, no matter small or large, makes an impact

Whether you choose to give back through an annual gift, establishing an endowment or or supporting a department funding priority, every dollar counts. In fact, most gifts to Rice Engineering are less than $1,000 but together they add up to millions for student awards, academics, research and programs so we can educate leaders and tackle grand challenges. If you are interested in discussing how you can make a non-cash gift such as appreciated stock, Donor Advised Fund (DAF), IRA Charitable Rollover, or through a deferred gift vehicle such as a bequest, please contact and we would love to help facilitate that donation.

About the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Excellence Fund

Rest assured that contributions made to the ECE Department Excellence Fund are used in the best way possible to secure the department’s vision and support our students. These funds enable the chair to direct donations to areas of highest priority, supporting outstanding faculty and students and fostering responsibility for future engineers to achieve excellence. Examples include providing support for initiatives like Women ExCEL, mentoring, undergraduate lab experiences, women in engineering, graduate student support, student excellence and vertically integrated projects.

C.S. Burrus ECE Student Enrichment Fund

In order to honor former dean and pioneer in digital signal processing professor emeritus Charles Sidney Burrus who earned three degrees in electrical engineering at Rice, a generous donor has established the C. S. Burrus ECE Student Enrichment fund and is inviting your support. Donations will enhance the Rice ECE student experience by providing support for summer research internships, funding student groups, and helping to send students to relevant conferences, as well as meeting other student needs as they arise.

Hall of Fame

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering's Alumni Hall of Fame recognizes the outstanding contributions and achievements of our graduates.
